General rules

  • Law on AI and Decree 142/2026: In force since 1 March 2026. Machine-readable marks on AI audio, images and video; a clear label on deep fakes; a notice on misleading text.

In the API

Send markets=vn on each call to POST /v1/mark: a call that lacks what Vietnam's rules need is refused before anything is counted, and each mark gets a receipt of what it carries for each law.

What a mark for Vietnam carries, by kind of file
FileMade with AIA deep fake (deepfake=true)
PictureWatermark and Content CredentialsWatermark, Content Credentials and the visible label
ClipWatermark and Content CredentialsWatermark, Content Credentials and the visible label
SongWatermark and Content CredentialsRefused for now: its rules need spoken notices in audio, expected December 2026.
