Check a picture for AI marks

See whether a picture carries Content Credentials (C2PA) and an invisible TrustMark watermark, ours or anyone's, and what they say about how it was made. The check runs in your browser: the picture never leaves your device.

PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 25 MB. It stays on your device.

How it works

  • Content Credentials are read with the Content Authenticity Initiative's own library, running here as WebAssembly. Ours show as signed by Kennmarq.com; others show as valid from their signer.
  • The watermark is read with TrustMark's decoder, also running here. The first check downloads it once (48 MB); your browser keeps it.
  • Only identifiers reach us, and only when there is one: a watermark ID, to find the Content Credentials it was signed with when a file lost its metadata, and a manifest's label, to show its entry in our transparency log. Your browser checks that entry's proof itself.

For a result signed by us, with the file's SHA-256 and the time, use POST /v1/verify: it uploads the file to our servers in Zurich, which read it in memory and keep nothing.
